Inchgarry
This project involved a complex refurbishment of an existing listed annexe within an imposing victorian mansion house. Harnessing the unique views onto one of the UK’s foremost links golf courses and the ocean beyond was a key consideration. An extensive contemporary extension and facade was proposed to ‘repair’ a poor quality 1970s addition to the building. This extension also offers a new entrance and circulation stair to liberate the internal plan, providing a sequence of contemporary and traditional spaces that flow beautifully together. All the while the occupant is treated to picture views of the golf course and the ocean as the navigate through the property.
A sleek timber clad double garage was also proposed, reaching out to the garden, whilst providing a pleasant aspect to the first floor apartments via its sedum roof.
